Background
To alleviate patient suffering and achieve oxygen independence during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Luke Commission (TLC) constructed a PSA oxygen production plant on its Miracle Campus in central Eswatini in early 2021. The plant helped reduce the mortality rate in Eswatini by 50% between the second and third waves of COVID-19. Today, the oxygen plant is the largest of its type in Africa. It supports up to 2,500 liters per minute of medical-grade oxygen and can fill 180 13kg cylinders per day for distribution throughout Eswatini and bordering countries.
